Radar Level Transmitters

JiaJia Eye builds non-contact radar level transmitters for water, wastewater, chemical and bulk storage tanks. Every transmitter in this range uses 80 GHz FMCW millimetre-wave measurement: the sensor emits a frequency-modulated beam and evaluates the time-of-flight of the echo, so the reading is unaffected by vapour, dust, foam, temperature swings or the colour of the liquid.

Why 80 GHz instead of 26 GHz

At 80 GHz the beam angle narrows to about ±2.75°, which matters in real tanks. A narrow beam passes between agitators, ladders and heating coils instead of bouncing off them, and it can be aimed down a tall, narrow standpipe. In practice this is the difference between a stable reading and a level that wanders every time the mixer starts.

Range, blind zone and accuracy

Standard models measure from 0.05 m to 40 m with ±1 mm to ±2 mm accuracy, and the compact short-range models cover 0.05–2 m with a 4 cm blind zone for small vessels and household water tanks. Because the blind zone is so short, the same sensor works on a 1 m buffer tank and on a 30 m silo.

Mounting: thread or flange

• Threaded: M38×1.5, M30 and 1.5 inch process connections. The 38 mm body fits through a standard tank-top boss where a conventional 2-inch antenna will not go.
• Flanged: DN50, DN80 and DN100 flanges for pressurised vessels and pipe reactors, rated to 1 MPa process pressure.
• Material: 304 stainless-steel housing with a PTFE (Teflon) antenna where chemical resistance is needed.

Outputs and PLC integration

Two-wire 4-20 mA, RS-485 Modbus-RTU and switchable dual outputs are built in. For replacement projects we rewrite the Modbus register map to the protocol your PLC already runs, so an existing installation can be swapped without re-programming the controller — usually the single biggest cost saving in a retrofit.

OEM, ODM and sampling

Housing, measuring range, protocol and private labelling are configurable. Minimum order quantity is 1 unit, a standard sample is free with buyer-paid freight, and a 3D STEP file of the housing is available on request so your mechanical team can check the fit before ordering.
