Can the radar be used directly after installation?

Answer: Additional configuration is required: set the installation height; calibrate current for 4‑20 mA output models.

Installation height: Vertical distance from the water bottom to the radar hemisphere. After inputting this value, the system automatically calculates water depth via the current empty distance:

Water Depth = Installation Height – Empty Distance

Water depth: Vertical distance from the water bottom to the water surface. After inputting this value, the system automatically calculates installation height via the current empty distance:

Installation Height = Water Depth + Empty Distance

Only one of the two parameters above needs to be configured.

Precautions:

The set installation height cannot exceed the radar’s full measuring range.

Internal resistance varies between third-party display meters; perform an on-site current calibration matching the actual meter.

4‑20 mA current calibration: Bluetooth – 4‑20 mA Output Calibration – Current Calibration
